Videos: Peel Regional Police: North American Champions
Maxville, Ontario – July 31, 2010 – The Peel Regional Police Pipe Band continued its 2010 unbeaten streak by winning its first North American Championship under Pipe-Major John Cairns, taking both the Medley and MSR events in Grade 1. City of Chicago won the Grade 2 contest. Weather was perfect after a cool morning and crowds were thought to be among the largest that the Glengarry Highland Games have ever attracted. In the Professional Solo Piping, Bruce Gandy of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, was the Piper of the Day, while Kyle Coughlin of Aurora, Ontario, was the Amateur Piper of the Day. Graham Brown of Milton, Ontario, was the Drummer of the Day.
