March 25th: Changes afoot at Inveraray & District
It’s rare when one of the world’s greatest bands mutually agrees to part ways with a leader on the brink of a new competition season, but that’s just what Inveraray & District did when it said goodbye to Pipe-Sergeant Dougie Campbell. Campbell had played a major role in tuning the pipe section and covering for Pipe-Major Stuart Liddell when his piping career took him around the world. But the appointment of new Pipe-Sergeant Alasdair Henderson has proven so far to be a net gain for the band, as they picked off the European Championship and finished a close second at the World’s.
