Nick Hudson: Maxville Gold Medallist
Maxville, Ontario – July 31, 2015 – Nick Hudson of Pittsburgh won the Piobaireachd Society Gold Medal (Canada), the annual contest held as part of the Glengarry Highland Games. Hudson played in warm indoor conditions against a field of 12 other pipers. In the Bar to the Gold Medal, reserved for previous winners of the Gold Medal, Andrew Hayes of Ottawa won, the fourth time he has captured the prize. Bob Worrall judged both events. The competition is open to the first 23 qualified entrants.
