New Jersey’s Midgley wins Dunvegan Medal
Portree, Scotland – August 2, 2016 – Derek Midgley of Mill Town, New Jersey, won the Dunvegan Medal for piobaireachd at the Skye Gathering, a competition that honours tunes accredited to or associated with the MacCrimmon piping dynasty. Midgley is on a winning roll, after winning the piobaireachd at Lochearnhead last week. Cameron Drummond of Edinburgh won the Clasp to the Dunvegan Medal for the second straight year.
