SFU coming through

Former P-M Terry Lee, now on the RSPBA panel of judges, must have zero involvement with Simon Fraser University, and one wonders what the effect of his lack of presence might have, positive or negative. SFU got back into the World’s prize list in 2015, and pressure to continue the upward momentum is strong, especially in the drum section, which has been consistently 5th, 6th or lower at Glasgow Green since 2009.

Give it the gas

A second year with Leading-Drummer Jake Jørgensen will likely produce even better results for Chris Armstrong’s powerhouse. Their May 14th Aberdeen concert sets them up well for early-season polish, and ScottishPower could emerge strong at the 12-band Grade 1 contest at the British a week later. An early momentum boost could propel SP ahead for their best season since 2013.
