Hawthorn takes Grade 2 at Victorian Championships
Melbourne, Australia – March 13, 2010 – The Victorian Pipe Band Championships were held in perfect weather at Haileybury College, Melbourne. The Australia Highlanders were the only band in Grade 1, but the three-band Grade 2 event was closely contested, with Hawthorn City taking the top prize.

Interesting results, things have come full circle, in the 80’s when I was playing for Moorabbin (grde 1 in those days) top 3 bands always seem to be up against each other were Hawthorn, Moorabbin and Nunnawading (now Aussie Highlanders), the cycle of competitive pipebands……. =87)
