78th Halifax takes 152nd Antigonish

Antigonish, Nova Scotia – July 11-12, 2015 – It was the 152nd annual Antigonish Highland Games, held in sunny and warm weather, with temperatures reaching the high 20s. The 78th Highlanders (Halifax Citadel) won both Grade 1 events, edging the Ottawa Police by ensemble preference in the Sunday Medley. Alex Gandy of Halifax, Nova Scotia, won the aggregate award in the Professional piping, and James Dyson took the same in the Grade 1 amateur category. Devin Paynter of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, was the Grade 1 Drummer of the Games. The Ian Green Award for Best Bass and Mid-Section went to the Ottawa Police.
