Chisholm wins overall Open Piping at BC Highland Games
Coquitlam, British Columbia – June 15-16, 2018 – Some 13 bands and 108 solo contestants competed at the BC Highland Games & Scottish Festival in hot and sunny weather at Percy Perry Stadium. Jori Chisholm, Grant Maxwell and Mackenzie Webster won the aggregate awards, respectively, in the Open piping, snare drumming, and tenor drumming. With Dowco Triumph Street competing at the UK Championships in Belfast, only Simon Fraser University played in the Grade 1 band events. The Open Piobaireachd was held on Friday at the new TD Community Plaza at Lafarge Lake Park, where the games will move to next year.
