Callum Beaumont in recital – part 3
We continue our series of videos with Callum Beaumont, one of the world’s elite solo pipers.
In the third of five videos, Beaumont entertains the audience at Moss Park Armoury in Toronto on March 2, 2019, with a selection with an air, a Breton dance and several reels. He wasn’t quite sure of the titles for all of the tunes, but his stellar playing and instrument speak for themselves.
Callum Beaumont is one of the world’s greatest pipers, winning before age 30 several of the biggest solo prizes there are, including both Highland Society of London Gold Medals, the Clasp (twice), the Bratach Gorm and the Silver Chanter.
We hope you enjoy these videos, and that, if you don’t already, that you consider subscribing to pipes|drums so that we can keep features like these coming.
