Bruce Gandy wins another Metro Cup
Newark, New Jersey – February 19, 2011 – Bruce Gandy of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, was the aggregate winner of the 2011 Metro Cup Solo Piping Competition held at the Ramada Inn. A first-prize in the Medley event and a fourth in the Piobaireachd secured the victory for Gandy, who has won the contest numerous times before. Total value of prizes, including a solid gold medallion, was more than US$8,000.

The competition is put on by the Metro Branch of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association. pipes|drums donated US$200 to the event.
