#6. Pipetunes.ca and Ceol Sean make pipe music available for free
The year 2011 showed the continuing trend of technology’s impact on piping and drumming. In separate announcements, Jim McGillivray’s pipetunes.ca made available some 1,400 audio recordings of music, and Steve Scaife of Illinois later announced that more than 7,000 pieces of public domain pipe music would be freely accessible. The Internet’s impact on every facet of life continues, and bagpipe music is no exception.
