TV series on Piping Live! and World’s coming to BBC ALBA

The Glasgow-based production company, Bees Nees Media, has been commissiond by BBC ALBA to develop a series on the 2010 Piping Live! International Festival of Piping. The first two of the five-part run of shows will be broadcast on Saturday, August 28th, and Saturday, September 4th, and the other three programs shown during the rest of the year.

The shows will reportedly focus on the more formal concert events, including Neil Johnstone’s “Suite for Alan,” Breabach, Fred Morrison and the Treacherous Orchestra. The final program will be on the World Pipe Band Championships.
