On the road with Pipes & Sticks on Route 66: Days 2 and 3
We traveled on several hours to Tulsa where we met Kent Pharaoh who led us to the Pharaoh Cattle Ranch run by his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Fred Fitzwilliams.
We arrived in a very impressive lightning storm and once inside Fred informed us that a vehicle had just been wrecked by hailstones two miles away. After a wonderful meal prepared by Peggy, we were treated to some cowboy songs by Roy Madden, who took time to explain the songs and their history. This was a very relaxing end to another eventful day.
