On the road with Pipes & Sticks on Route 66: Day 6

We reach Route 66 at Santa Rosa, New Mexico, and are aware of the dilapidated buildings along some parts of 66, it is sad to see how places along the Route died when the Interstates were built, very much a recurring theme. We stop at a diner which is famous in Santa Rosa.

We have to stop briefly as the car mounted camera comes off of John McDonald’s car and bounces down the road. Amazingly it emerges unscathed and is recovered. The video caught in that will be interesting . . .
