MacLeod Downs a Glenfiddich
Blair Atholl, Scotland – October 26, 2002 – The Glenfiddich Solo Piping Championships were held here today at Blair Atholl Castle with the usual impressive turnout from piping enthusiasts, packing the Great Hall of the Duke of Atholl’s residence. Roddy MacLeod of Glasgow was the overall winner, by virtue of winning the Piobaireachd event and a third in the light music.
Competitors are invited based on results of the year’s biggest contests. There are two events, a piobaireachd and a twice-over MSR.
