Armstrong in form at Queen Mary
Long Beach, California – February 15-17, 2008 – Colin Armstrong of Los Angeles (pictured right) was the big winner in the Professional-grade solo piping at the annual Queen Scottish Festival, held on and around the historic ocean liner, now converted to a hotel. Armstrong won both light music events, while Will Nichols of Blaine, Washington, won the piobaireachd contest.
In the Grade 4 band event, Kevin R. Blandford Memorial won on the Saturday and University of California Riverside took the Sunday contest.
