2007 Scottish Champions: Strathclyde Police
Dumbarton, Scotland – May 19, 2007 – The Strathclyde Police won the Scottish Pipe Band Championship here today against a field of 12 other Grade 1 bands. Conditions were testing in weather that was cold, windy and rainy.
Strathclyde Police won the drumming and was also first in ensemble. Field Marshal Montgomery enjoyed a clear win in piping with two first, but a seventh in drumming and fourth in ensemble pushed the band back.

In Grade 2, Seven Towers’ overall higher ranks pulled out the victory. Torphichen & Bathgate had two first-placings, but could not overcome a seventh in piping.

Thought the best band overall won, but FM blew the piping out the park. If they get the drumming on track they will be back on top no worries. Roll on The Europeans!

3b results aren’t quite right Andrew….Brechin were 5th and Methil were 3rd.
