All sunshine for Angus D. MacColl at Blair Atholl

Blair Atholl, Scotland – May 27, 2018 – Contestants were treated to a gorgeous, sunny day in Scotland’s Perthshire at the annual Atholl Gathering on the grounds of the Duke of Atholl’s estate. Angus MacColl (the older one) won both Open light music events, while Gordon McCready captured the Premier/A-Grade Piobaireachd. MacColl gained the trophy for overall best. The Open MSR was narrowed to a final from two short leets of five, one judged by Barry Donaldson and Logan Tannock, the other by Bruce Hitchings and Ronnie McShannon. Brodie Watson-Massey won the overall prize in the 18 and younger Junior events.
