City of Regina takes top award at Winnipeg

Winnipeg – February 16, 2013 – The Winnipeg Scottish Festival celebrated its 20th Anniversary with some special events at the Winnipeg Convention Center. Friday evening Bob Worrall gave a short recital, and then introduced the players who followed him, including Matt MacIsaac, Colin Clansey, James MacHattie and James P. Troy played a short selection on pipes and then snare drum. Notable in the band events was the emergence of the Winnipeg Police as a Grade 3 competing band under P-M Nate Mitchell and L-D Dave Bowman.
