Updated: Durning does the business at Nicol-Brown
Albany, New York – October 9, 2010 – Bobby Durning of Haverhill, Massachusetts, was the overall winner at the annual Nicol-Brown Amateur Invitational Solo Piping Championship, held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. The judge of all events was Angus MacColl of Benderloch, Scotland. Durning receives airfare to compete at the 2011 competitions in London, set of pipes and a kilt. The 2009 champion, Anthony Masterson of Houston, was unable to attend.
pipes|drums, as a nonprofit magazine that commits available funds to worthy piping and drumming ventures, made a cash donation to the event.
