Armstrong wins Bratach, best overall at London

London ? November 3, 2007 – Chris Armstrong of Airth,
Scotland, won the Bratach Gorm at the Scottish Piping Society of London‘s
competitions at London, and with the prize joins Gordon Walker of
Galston, Scotland, as the second invitee to the 2008 Glenfiddich
Invitational Solo Piping Championship next October. Jack Lee of
Surry, British Columbia, won the Gillies Cup Piobaireachd.
Armstrong gained the most points overall to become the London
Champion. The SPSL competitions are one of very few major events in
the UK that requires all competitors to be members of the Competing
Pipers Association. The event was held for the first time at the Kensington Conference Centre.
