Aviemore, Scotland – August 31, 2007 – The second day of the Northern Meeting at Aviemore, Scotland, saw Stuart Liddell of Inveraray, Scotland, win his first Clasp, the contest reserved for those who hold one of the Highland Society of London’s Gold Medals. For the first time, the prize list extended to five places.

The result of the Silver Star March, Strathspey & Reel, which was held on the Thursday but carried on until just before midnight due to the late start and finish of the Gold Medal, wasn’t announced until the closing ceremonies. In the end, Jack Lee (pictured, right) won his third Silver Star, the first of which he gained in 1981.
