Meunier wins Lorient trophy
Lorient, Brittany – August 7, 2005 – Alexis Meunier of Tregunc, Brittany, won the MacCrimmon Trophy at the Inter-Celtic Music Festival in Lorient, Brittany, competing against pipers who qualified for the event playing in Scottish-, Irish- and Breton-music events. The contest was previously known as the MacAllan Trophy. Meunier also receives an invitation to compete in the G.S. McLennan Memorial competition in San Diego in October.
