West Now Sole Presenter of BBC’s Pipeline (updated)

BBC Radio Scotland’s Pipeline program will be presented once again by only one host, starting immediately, with Gary West taking the microphone.

West had shared hosting duties with Robert Wallace of Glasgow since April of last year, after host and producer Iain MacInnes took a one-year sabbatical from the program.

MacInnes returns on May 6 as the producer of Pipeline. MacInnes will not be an on-air presenter.

“As from last month, Gary West took over the full time presentation of Pipeline on Radio Scotland,” said Helen Munro, Editor, Music, at BBC Scotland. “This change returns Piipeline to its original format of single presenter and brings it into line with our other specialist music output. However, we very much hope that Robert Wallace will continue to have an active role on the programme as we value highly his strong specialist knowledge and look forward to him contributing in a different role over the next few months.”

Pipeline currently airs for 55 minutes every Sunday beginning at 9:05 p.m. (GMT) at 92-95 FM, or 810 on the medium wave band.
