Kessler Wins CPA Event for B, C Grade Players

Montrose, Scotland – August 4, 2002 – The fourth Competing Pipers Association Piobaireachd Competitition for B and C Graded Pipers, sponsored by Glenfiddich, was held here today. Germany’s Martin Kessler, who now lives in Scotland, took home the top prize.

The event has become part of an increasing trend towards building events for pipers not quite at the premier level. The contests for B and C players offset the trend in the opposite direction where only a handful of elite pipers are invited to swishy, black tie competitions.
